The Past Was Floral opens with lime blossom, lemon, lilac, and orange blossom, creating a luminous veil of citrus and pale petals. Fresh yet softened by time, the opening feels less like a garden in bloom than the recollection of one—bright at its edges, blurred at its center.
At the heart, ylang-ylang and lily of the valley unfold against clean linen and cashmere musk. A quiet trace of cacao moves beneath the florals, adding warmth and intimacy without turning overtly gourmand. It is the scent of pressed fabric, powdered petals, and something sweet lingering faintly in another room.
